Materials Manager

Summary:
Design and execute strategies to meet CURRENT Group short and long-term supply chain needs. Work with all areas of the organization to ensure material requirements are met in addition to ensuring that policies and procedures are in place to both facilitate efficiency while simultaneously protecting corporate interests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Procurement
    • Ensure best buying practices through due diligence of vendor selections, price, service and terms
    • Manage purchase requisition process
    • Review all contracts submitted for approval
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage inventory levels, inventory transactions and conduct annual audits
    • Manage RMA process
    • Identify new warehouse locations and negotiate appropriate lease terms
  • Forecasting
    • Forecast and order network equipment necessary for JV/Pilot deployments. Work with manufacturing and outside suppliers to ensure product availability and delivery. Determine and ensure adequate mix and timing of materials
    • Unify all corporate demand through a single forecast
  • General Administration
    • Requires the management of the following business requirements:
      • Vehicle Fleet Management
      • Cellular Communication
      • Facilities
      • Corporate Travel
      • Corporate Insurance
  • Manage Department Personnel

Qualifications:

  • 5 plus years of materials management experience
  • Solid analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Self-motivated
  • The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment along with the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations.
Education and Experience:
  • 5 plus years of materials management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Yes
